My mom saw a jigsaw puzzle design on the wall for two days and just thought it was a random design. I come to the cabin and point out that this is a Christian owned cabin. And then she told me that the next morning she saw JESUS in the design. Before she didn’t have eyes to see. Now she does see it. Cool example.
Psalm 14:1 – “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.”
Psalm 53:1 – “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.”
Romans 1:18-21 – “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Statements
Psalm 14:1 and 53:1 are about total rejection of God, not intellectual blindness. These individuals want nothing to do with God.
God doesn’t believe in atheists.
Stardust vs. God’s image and value and worth
I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist.
Quotes
Richard Dawkins wrote, “In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.”
